An icy mooring!

At 23 km from the coastal oil workers’ settlement Varandey, an oil terminal has become operational, with technological equipment and innovative achievements with no match in the world.

Addressing the opening of the facility the Head of Administration of the district, Valeriy Potapenko, noted that, with the introduction of such instruments, a powerful trump is put into the hands of the state, which is applying for world oil power rank.

The first tanker, Vasiliy Dinkov, will approach to the quay already on 6 June and will fill its tanks with 70,000 tons of Nenets oil, thus its body will head to the cold marine abyss at 14 meters depth in a waterway of 17.

Выступая на открытии сооружения, глава Администрации округа Валерий Потапенко отметил, что ввод подобных объектов - весомый козырь в руках государства, претендующего на звание мировой нефтяной державы. Первый танкер «Василий Динков» подойдет к причалу уже 6 июня и возьмет в танки 70 тысяч тонн ненецкой нефти, при этом его корпус осядет в морскую холодную пучину на 14 метров при глубине фарватера в 17.
